I am not sure how I feel about this... I don't like insurance

creeping into the massage field, then the insurance company has more

control over the session than the therapist does. But I am not sure

I like being blocked and replaced by a more medical model substitute-

the physical therapist. But I thought this important enough to

share...

Massage Insurance Updates, Tips & News

URGENT NOTICE TO ALL MASSAGE PROFESSIONALS.

This pertains to you, family & friends!

This is an URGENT CALL FOR ALL MASSAGE PROFESSIONALS or anyone's

HELP! We need to respond TODAY to save our rights to work with or

for medical doctors or chiropractors as massage therapists or to

allow our family & friends to receive professional health care in

physian's offices from those other than physical therapists only.

OUR DEADLINE is SEPT 24th. 2004. (this Friday) to OPPOSE MEDICARE's

proposed policy to eliminate any provider except PT's from providing

" incident to " medical professional's services to patients.

Notify Medicare now before it is too late that we do not want PT's

to be the only health care professionals allowed to provide

medically related care to physician's patients. IF MEDICARE approves

this policy it won't be long before COMMERCIAL INSURANCE CARRIERS

will follow the same route, just as they did in eliminating payment

for hot /cold packs in most incidents.

See below EXACTLY HOW TO RESPOND and thank you!!

You were promised UPDATES, TIPS & INSURANCE RELATED NEWS when you

purchased my manuals or attended my classes or booths, in the past

several years. This is my first e-mailing & if you do

not " " you will be continuing to receive these UPDATES,

TIPS & NEWS e-mails.

EVERYONE:

Please send this to everyone you know and ask them to oppose this

now!! It could ultimately be yours or your own family member in need

of massage under Medicare from a physicians office, let alone the

fact we are fighting to get IN the MEDICARE system in the future....

If this policy goes through that will surely put a stop to any

future we may possibly have in years to come!!
