Guest guest
Personally, first and foremost, if someone is complaining about depression, I would have them check on their diet. Very often about depression to recognize that very often it is related to diet - sugar in particular. Many times allergic reactions (or maybe sensitivity) to foods are manifest with emotions. I have been working with on person who has major emotional reactions related to foods. Some will cause major depression for her. Others will cause anger. Have them track what they eat, everything, and their mood. You may find something there. Another thing that may be an issue is too low of cholesterol. As cholesterol is the master hormone (from which all other hormones are made), and hormones have a lot to do with your emotional state, not having enough cholesterol can make one angry and depressed, even violent. MDs may have pills that take away symptoms, but they do nothing for the cause. If a person really wishes to be free of depression and healthy, they need to be willing to participate in their health care. If they are not willing to do so, how can they expect you to help them? Exercise does a lot to alleviate depression too. If a person just wants a " magic " pill to make the depression go away, they are not looking for health and you offer them a healthy way to get out of the depression, permanently, not artificially, perhaps they are in the wrong place. You can only help one who is willing to help themselves. Kat New and Improved Mail - Send 10MB messages!
