Guest guest
Are you thinking for an enema, or for internally detoxing the liver/colon through herbs, etc? May I ask is this for a particular symptom like constipation, hard stool, etc, or just because you feel it is good to do in general? My first thought of course is if it is for a symptom to address it directly through a homeopathic remedy- but that is the way my mind works... Secondly, a solid diet of raw fruits and veggies, with legumes, is the cornerstone to a happy colon nutritionally... For special care of the colon I recommend a fast on wheatgrass juice... I was very, very sick with mono, and during that period for many years I had no desire for stool... I could go 11+ days without a movement... Around the time I was getting going with homeopathy, I also started to investigate living foods and the raw food diet. Within 2 weeks of starting this new diet, with wheatgrass juice every morning I had an astonishing bowel movement that evacuated a foot and a half long, black rubber like stool... For enemas and colonics, that is a murkier subject... No pun intended. If you do decide to do colonics, make sure the therapist cleanses the equipment according to hospital standards between sessions... Sounds basic, but only 1 location in all of Albuquerque is said to have the proper equipment to do this... How the others can get away with not doing it, I just don't understand... So please don't assume... You know what they say... For doing your own enema, when I have done them I make sure that I have included some sort of chlorophyll or wheatgrass juice... Just think it is just as well to take the opportunity that an enema presents... Now I have had people that I whole, deeply, respect in the alternative health field tell me to never do an enema or colonic. Likewise I have had people that I equally respect tell me that they should be done regularly... So what to do? I hope this helps some, even though it is not a very direct answer... Be Well, Misty L.
