Feverfew is a possibility if the headaches are of a migraine nature. Joan McPhee, not an M.D. mcpheej
Guest guest
HI Debi Try and find out the cause of your headaches, as well as trying to alleviate them. It took me ages to work out that wheat and corn play a major part in headaches. Also, since taking MSM, I am surprised that I can tolerate small amounts of wheat without the headaches. My Mother-in-law said the same thing. She now tolerates foods that in the past she has been unable to eat. I don't understand why this is, but hey, I am grateful. I had a test done by a doctor who said that I was intolerant to wheat, rye, oats, but I could eat corn and rice and millet. His credibility has just gone out the window. It took he ages to work out that corn was a no-no, I believed what he said for ages. Silly me. I should listen to my body more and doctors less! Hey Liz, the Homozon is going well too. Do you think this might have helped the tolerance thing? I am not going to overdo the wheat thing. Its just nice to be able to eat it if there is nothing else around. Guest guest
Yes, Tracy. It seems that getting your bowels cleaned out get out the junk that makes you more sensitive to foods. My blood sugar stopped dropping once the mucus and plaque left and I found I can gobble some sweets now and then. Even my sinuses aren't overwhelming me. I still can't do corn at all, major problem. Also concerning the Homozon, it adds oxygen in your body so then it performs better. Liz D ********* Hey Liz, the Homozon is going well too. Do you think this might have helped the tolerance thing? Corn is a big no-no for me... I feel all sorts of funny when I eat it! Wheat is too addictive for me, but brown rice is okay in small quantities. How did you first start learning about grain intolerance? Just curious. -- Mindy ----------------------- " ...that they may be one... Guest guest
Mostly from the candida list that I used to belong to. The only thing is that if I had listened to everyone, I would have ended up fading away to nothing. So now, I try to listen to my body and how I feel after eating a certain food. Oats gave me hypoglycaemia 2 hours after eating them. Corn seems to give me headaches. Wheat - I dunno -I seem to be tolerating it better, and sugar...itch, itch and more itch...made this yummy Weetbix slice yesterday...bad move...out came the steroid cream last night. Will I never learn. Sometimes it is just sheer bloodymindedness. You want instant gratification, and blow the consequences. Especially at certain times of the month. Sugar is something I should avoid like the plague...as well as steroid cream. Sometimes you just want to be normal..... Guest guest
>> What kind of diet is good for severe headaches? Try a hunter-gatherer diet (low in allergens such as those found in dairy and grain) www.paleodiet.com Start taking a magnesium supplement too. Headaches can also be an indication of a weak liver. Avoid liver-unfriendly behaviors (alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, " fake " fats, junk food...) and supplement with a milk thistle-dandelion herbal combination. Might be a good time to try one of the herbal " detox " kits available from health food stores. Avoid poor indoor air quality. Rob
Guest guest
Hi Debi Headaches - they can be caused by so many different things, and are hard to treat beaches of that. Could be neck/back problems - hormones - food allergies - environmental allergens - you might have to give us a few more clues Dehydration will cause headaches as well. Guest guest
Misty, That sounds like a CSF headache, from the CSF pressure being either too high or too low. If you lightly tap both of those protuberances at the same time several times, that should adjust the pressure and allow the headache to dissipate. Kat --- " Misty L.
