Guest guest
Lavender is a great insect repellant. Lavender water not only repels mosquitos but also can be sprayed for a pleasant cooling mist that is not toxic. Kat
Guest guest
Hi Misty, I haven't tried the citronella on my body, but I have used it as a candle on the picnic table. I really don't like the smell of it which is why I haven't put it on myself, and the mosquitoes probably don't like the smell of it either, and that's why it works. Somebody else suggested catnip - I think that might smell a little better, maybe minty. Maybe I'll go to the nursery and buy some catnip plants. How is citronella made - is it from a plant? Carol Misty L. Trepke [mistytrepke] Hi Carol... When I think of insect repellant and essential oils- I think of citronella... Have you ever tried that? Let us know how it goes...
