Guest guest
Dear Dawne... I have heard of this before.... The Diamonds, authors of Fit For Life, said that people can drink too much, straining the kidneys, and that we should get our water mainly from our foods- they were promoting a heavy concentration of fruits in their program. I remember going " huh? " too... I can kinda see where too much water would make the kidneys work too much... But that being said, I think it is like being too alkaline... The preponderance of people are way overly acidic. The few that are overly alkaline are a rarity at best... So, for me, I settled on the side that said we need to get as much water in as we can, taking into account that drinking for most people means soda, (non-herbal) tea, coffee, or alcohol- all reasons we need to drink even more water so we can flush them out... And depending on the season, and where you live, (I live in a desert) I have noticed even for myself, I need to drink more than I am thirsty for... So, I think we need to train ourselves to drink water, so I distrust even more that people will eat enough water laden foods to make up for the difference.... And kudos to the person who brought up the book, " Your Bodies Many Cries For Water " !!! That is an excellent book!!! I have seen people who followed its recommendations and found pain relief within days for a condition they had had for years... So I hope that helps some... Be Well, Misty ps- your honey smelling sneezing situation is a homeopath's dream come true... We love those bizarre questions that go to the heart of a person's individual and unique experience... I am a little too foggy tonight to look it up, but that is on my list for tomarrow... , Just Dawne <justdawne> wrote: > Hi everyone, > Was just talking with some friends last night about the need for > more pure water in our diets.
