I have never had anything like it before and have no idea where to begin. I know there has to be infection. Could you please shed some light on it for me? A painful lump like the one you describe sounds more like a clogged pore or perhaps localized bacterial matter rather than a virus like herpes. If the lump just goes away, I'd forget about it.
