Hi everyone...

I remember a doctor once telling me that you are " cured " of cancer

if you survive 5 years after the original diagnosis... In

disbelief, I clarified by asking him if you died 5 years and 1 day

past your diagnosis, if you were still considered cured, and he said

yes!!! That type of " cured " I can surely do without... Now imagine

all the people that are said to have died from cancer, and now add

all the people that have died from cancer but labelled as cured

never the less...

Annie has it right, this is all about fraud and vested interests...

This is what I was able to find on the net:

http://www.health-dictionary.com/cancer_term_details/Survival_Rate

Survival Rate:

The percentage of people in a study or treatment group who are alive

for a given period of time after diagnosis. This is commonly

expressed as 5-year survival.

Best Wishes,

believe that is counted in the statistics as a 'cure'. If you go on

to develop another cancer a year or two later, which is a metastasis

of the original cancer, I would assume that you are not removed from

the 'cured' statistics.

means that the 'cures' are a lot less than they claim.

research and all of the money poured into the cancer charities I

believe the scientists who work in that field should seriously

question their methods. Or is it that they have a vested interest

in not finding a cure - then they'll be out of a job? 'Fraud' is a

word that springs to mind! Or am I just a cynic?
