Guest guest Posted May 28, 2004 Report Share Posted May 28, 2004 According to my understanding, one cannot be counted as " cured " of an illness until and unless it has been in remission for at least five years - so those who have another cancer in another year or two or still have cancer but continue to live more than five years are not counted in the statistics.
