Guest guest
In regards to the infallibility of the words of our teachers,(Chinese), lets be honest with the fact that everyone, which includes me, has their own agenda. Do you really believe everything your teachers tell you? If you do then I got a ...to sell you. The most powerful teaching by my instructors was their clinical teaching with regards to acupuncture and moxibustion. Even more importantly when I would argue with my Chinese teachers about " TCM " MAO, missing teachings or under emphasized concepts like WU Xing, anf the chinese organ clock they would say " try it...develop your own evidence,,if it works, great..if not, do not use it. " As far as accessibility to ancient texts, I just returned from Chengdu and after discussing with students they informed me that they do memorize Nei Jing, Shang Han Lun etc..but not the " ancient " texts. There are not even that many people alive who could read the script of the original texts or make any sense out of it. They read the text published by modern medical experts, or employees of the hospital that manipulate the information to fit their medical agenda and the students study that texts. Free Access to information??? Yes if you know the pass word for the underground library..Otherwise you get followed and asked to leave when you try to find anything in the library. It was amusing to see Manfred Porkert's books on the shelves and Wiseman's Fundamentals along side Bensky...all covered in an inch of black dust....Kelly _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Jason: This is hard to believe.. I am a student in the United States, DO NOT speak Chinese (try to read), and I am taking a class on the NEI JING in it's original classical characters. My Chinese teachers do not agree with this. -

I'm definitely researching this. I've heard from people who got no better after going through it, so I'm leery.
