Seems too wasteful to just discard it. I agree with Carol about the VitaMix. I recommend them to my clients, because some of the best nutrients are in the skins, and the seeds. For example, if you do apples, there are nitrilosides (B-17, amygdalin) in the seeds. The seeds get pulverized, and you get the benefit of them without even realizing that they are in there. For people with cancer, that is great, but even if you do not, imagine what benefits you would get. You don't have to waste the skins and the fiber. You just cut the fruit into quarters, and drop them in. It is the same with grapes. You can use red grapes with seeds, put them in the VM, and get the benefit of freshly ground grape seed extract. You also get the beneficial nutrients of the grapes, which are the same as those in wine. Another thing you can do, is to put your fruits in the VitaMix, add ice cubes (from good filtered water, of course), and you have a fruit smoothie. It is a great way to get your produce, and all of the enzymes are active. They taste just like the ones that you pay $4-$5 for in the mall. It is expensive, but worth it. As I said, I recommend them to my clients. I send so many people to them, that they give my people free shipping. If you are interested, you can use that code, which is AO9I (ao9i). That saves $25 in shipping. The phone number is 1- 800-848-2649.
