Guest guest
Hi Dave, Health begins at the cellular level. Every cell must have constant access to every nutrient they require to be nourished and protected so they can efficiently carry out their intended function. If just one nutrient is not available, the body will " substitute " as best it can a similar nutrient or do without. When it does so, it either deteriorates or dies. It's sort of like making a copy of an original document, then making a copy of that, then a copy of that, etc. Eventually the " last " copy won't look anything like the original. This is what takes place in our bodies and the process is speeded up when all the nutrients aren't made available. So, there's aren't specific nutritional formulas to " grow hair " as ALL nutrients are needed by the body. To supply certain nutrients without all the others promotes or even creates an imbalance in the body and therefore malfunctioning. For example, taking Calcium without balancing it with other such minerals as magnesium, boron, zinc, etc actually tends to create or magnify a deficiency in those minerals thereby throwing off the healthy functioning of the body. There are charts available from the 3rd edition of the " Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements " wherein Lyle MacWilliam, a biochemist who was commissioned by the Canadian Parliament of Health to find the safest and most effective supplements for Canadians to take. He analyzed over 1,000 products manufactured by more than 200 companies in North America for safety, balance, completeness, bioavailability, dissolution, quality, etc. 500 of these products were so horrible they weren't included in his Guide. If you like, I'd be glad to send you a sample chart or two along with information about the Guide, Mr. MacWilliams, and the standards he used. And if you know of a particular product you'd like to see a chart on, email me at Adamson and I'll see if I have it. Hope this helps!
