Guest guest
I like your soup idea. Will pass on toay's health minded correspondence in case you may find it interesting. Sincerely, dr Jim Bowen Dear Betty, and Dr Blaylock, Appreciate the new info. By ordinary logic it would appear that all the amino acid based excito toxins, including picolinate, as in chromium picolinate, would foster a similar carcinogenicity. Picinolate may be limited to brain tumors, however, making it the perfect partner for Aspartame. I should have known better, but have not been excluding carrageenan from my diet, thus far. I just hadn't " put two and two together. " Every time I can exclude another inflammatory agent from my diet, I suffer less sith my CHz. I have corrected the spelling on my " Whey Sweet " response, and will include it. Sincerely, Dr Jim Bowen Dear John, I really miss the daily cackle when I don't get it! Plz try sending it to www.aspartamehelp@.... As to " WHEY LOW " , I can assure you that this is a front runner of the whole list of Tagatose preparations that we are going to see thrown at us! They give no actual list of ingredients, so here is what I make of it by inductive logic, the terms they do use, and my knowledge of chemistry: First of all it is no better than sucrose, which is its main ingredient. Sucrose meets all the beneficial criteria that they claim. They are comparing their product to glucose, and calling glucose " sugar. " This misleads and confuses the public, hoping to get them to buy this high priced product that has no more merit than regular old table sugar, sucrose. It does carry several additional hazards as is explained in my " Tagatose and Diabetes " article. The Tagatose, which adds nothing over sucrose to the benefits of the sucrose in this formulation is added only to justify a claim that they have used " whey sugar " , and thus see the gullible public hopefully buying their high priced merchandise. These " snake oil " merchants have shown reasonable intelligence though, in that they have listened to old Dr Jim Bowen here. They have gone back to basic science and reexamined their glycemic indices and know that sucrose is helpful for diabetics. I wish more people had that much intelligence. I know you were too smart to be taken in by this non informative brochure. If not, don't feel too bad. I was really taken in by Searle's Aspartame/Nutra sweet brochure when they sent it around to the medical profession about the beginning of April of 1983. I have paid dearly for that lack of insight. Guest guest
Carol I fullheartedly agree with you. In fact I have refused to by a juicer simply for that reason. I just make my liquid veggies all the time. They taste great and I am convinced that all that fiber is very beneficial. Cheers, Doug - Carol Minnick Sunday, November 02, 2003 8:57 PM RE: [s-A] Veggies But doesn't juicing get rid of all the good fiber in the veggies? Wouldn't it be better to mix them all in a blender so you get all the benefits of the veggies including the fiber? Guest guest
Hi Doug, I own a Vita Mix, which I've had for about 7 or 8 years, and use it every day to make my liquid lunch. I even put in the core of a pineapple, which you normally would have to throw away because it's so tough. I also use the skins of apples or pears if they are organic. The Vita Mix liquefies it all. I also throw in some flax seeds into the mix, and also some soy protein powder. Do you have any great blender veggie recipes? Mostly what I do is fruits, but I would love to have some good veggie ideas, too. Carol Doug Murray [Doug] Carol I fullheartedly agree with you.
