Guest guest
I just did a search on www.google.com on pinworms and Pin-X. Some very useful information. I am a hardcore herbal user and don't like pharmaceuticals, but I have been battling the pesty parasites for some time and have decided to resort to Pyrantel, as a single dose does the trick, but has to be repeated at 12 day intervals, and must be taken by all family members. The good news: it is effective against roundworms and hookworms also. I am going to purchase it on line as all the stores around here don't have it. I asked one pharmacy worker for the product, and she said she had never heard of children getting worms, only pets. Hummmmm.... Guest guest
That's the nature of pinworm controversies. The difficulty of detection creates this situation, and many healthcare professionals choose to ignore their existence. In the early 1900's there was a lot more awareness of this subject, particularly in the American South. Part of it is that with a good diet and in a good environment, pinworms disappear by themselves due to other remedies. They really do seem easy to wipe out. I have my own indicators, which include heavy itching in the anus, and when that happens, i always take a couple of Hanna Kroger's Wormwood formula capsules. They always work for me. Anybody else here aware of Hanna? She was one of this world's truly great herbalists, and taught me a lot in scattered meetings over many years. Her associates seem to be doing a very good job of continuing her established traditions. Everyone needs to treat themselves and their family with ParaCan™!! Frequently Asked Questions and Answers Is there a way to prevent parasitic infection? It is impossible to avoid all situations that could lead to parasitic infection. Here are a few precautions that can help: Drink clean, pure water to safeguard against possible contamination. Chlorination does not kill all parasites. It is advisable to filter all drinking water. Always wash fresh produce carefully, especially vegetables. Wash your hands properly before preparing or eating food and after the use of the toilet. If you eat animal meat, ensure that it is cooked thoroughly. Maintain a healthy lifestyle to guard against parasites. A consistently poor diet can promote poor intestinal health, creating the perfect environment for parasites to thrive. Will I experience any ill effects? ParaCan herbal formulation is an effective and exceptionally safe way to achieve optimal internal health. However, on some occasions, especially where parasitic activity is high, some individuals may experience nausea, weakness or fatigue during the cleansing phase. This could be due to toxins produced by the parasites being eliminated by the body. If this occurs, decrease the dose by half. Remember to drink plenty of water when using ParaCan and ingest a good quality diet. You may wish to use soluble fibers such as rice bran or psyllium in water daily, to assist in the elimination of parasites and their toxins. I'm rather of the school that parasites play a major role in our health state. I was a medical lab tech in the service (army) and that was one of the beasties that we DID know how to look for. I can't recall if wormwood has been discussed (more then likely, I suspect), as the memory may be rather foggy at the moment, from candida build up (need to brew another quart of Calendula officials tonight). -- Goat (Generalist of all Trades)! The best way to confirm pinworms is to use some double stick tape on something like a clear piece of plastic (they actually make a lab device similar) and place it between the buttocks near the anus over night, as the mother beasty appears there, the anus, while a subject is at rest to lay her eggs, which is what causes the itching, as the eggs are spiky, purposely. IMHO, so to cause the itching, so that the subject scratches and then re ingest them (hopefully adults do not), forming a cycle, so then the eggs stick to the tape, and you can look for them under a microscope (not sure you can see them with a magnifying glass, as I've never tried, and I have a pretty good scope). -- Goat (Generalist of all Trades)! Guest guest
Hi- I have a question- you mention the following- "from candida build up (need to brew another quart of Calendula officials tonight)." Is this known to help with candida? If so how and how much? How long do you brew for? Also, I have some I bought dried a year ago, is that too old? Is there any way to make it taste better? Maybe by mixing it with another herb? Guest guest
Shelby, some times things look exactly like parasites. For instance: tapeworm segments look almost exactly like sesame seeds. Is it possible (and believe me I understand your loathing and panic over this dear), that it may be something you are eating and mistaking for pinworms? If this is not the case then I would look to your immune system function rather than just trying to sterilize your insides. If you cannot make Doc's Total Nutrition, get some astragalus and take it every day. It may take a month, but it does wonders in the body, including boosting deep immune function. Our bodies are made to be able to expel these pests because they are natural to our world (icky as they are). I also know where ya are coming from with the laundry. Luckily we have in our small apt. a washer and dryer - and I am still never ever done with the washing LOL! Just wash everything on hot cycles, as this will kill anything on the clothes. Go ahead and train your baby, the diaper really isn't a barrier, even though it seems that way. I think your children are so well cared for by their wonderful mommy that they have super immune systems and are just ousting these parasites before they take hold. Now that I have talked your ear right off I will stop hehe! Janet - Shelby Blakely bowelcleanse Cc: Herbal Remedies Sunday, March 23, 2003 11:37 PM [herbal remedies] Pinworms Here's my problem. Last Feb I discovered I had the little buggers. I was less than stoked. After doing about 6 weeks of cloves & garlic rectally (as a way to keep them inside or dead) I was rid of them until about December. I was so terrified when I first found out (rather suddenly) that I have been on a low level panic looking for them ever since. Since December, I have done 3 parasite cleanses in one form or another (only the last was all 3 at once) & I am worm free for about 10 days until I can feel them again. My kids both wear diapers & are not daycare kids so I don't think they have them. But I'm going on a year of being constantly on edge because of this & I don't know what to do. I don't have a washer & dryer in my house so washing everything in my house at once would be very hard. I don't know what else to do. If I did another parasite cleanse & stayed on the maintenance program (as well as my kids for good measure), would that work? I'm tired of shooting garlic juice up my rectum every night just to make sure I don't wake up in a terrifying panic. I'm also afraid to start potty training my almost 3 year old because it seems that the diaper is his only protection. Please Help! -Shelby Pat [honiholo]Friday, March 21, 2003 9:07 PMbowelcleanse Subject: [bowelcleanse] PinwormsJust in case it would help someone to know, I have found it is possible toget rid of pinworms without taking medication.Thirty-some years ago the critters invaded my family. We discovered ourunwelcome visitors when we were on a hike, and my six-year old son relievedhimself in the woods. His was not a big pile, but the number of tinyinterlopers that arrived with it was great. My husband and four kids took the several-day course (at that time) ofmedication My first dose caused an itchy full-body rash/reaction, and I wasafraid to take more. I didn't have symptoms anyway. However, sure enough, by the time I had washed every sheet and piece ofclothing in our home, I, too, had a tell-tale symptom of pinworms. At nightthe crawling around of the worms on the outer portion of my alimentary canalwould bring me wide awake. My VERY dear hubby would dutifully pat me downin that area with the sticky side of scotch tape just to get rid of thecurrent offender so I could sleep. I can't remember how long it took (nevermore than once a night), but after not too many nights I stopped waking up.The family seige was over and much to my relief never returned.HTH, PatTestimonials:http://curezone.org/forums/f.asp?f=5FAQ: http://curezone.com/forums/forum.asp?f=76Images: http://CureZone.com/image_gallery/bowelcleanse/Web Sites: http://CureZone.com/cleanse/bowel/default.asphttp://CureZone.com/cleanse/bowel/parasitescleanse.aspList Archives: bowelcleanse/messagesTo Un, send blank message to:bowelcleanse- Subscription email: bowelcleanse- Change to No-Mail: bowelcleanse-nomail Change to digest: bowelcleanse-digest Change to normal: bowelcleanse-normal By joining the list you agree to hold yourself FULLY responsible FOR yourself.
