It's early in the a.m. Still dark out at and not really a good

time to wake up for the day. Sometimes I think she's simply

" slept out " . She goes to bed about 8:30 and usually rises for

the day about 7:00 - 7:30 a.m.

When she wakes up she " thinks " and just lays in her bed. She

does fall back to sleep but it varies how quickly. I'll ask her

to keep a journal of her dreaming/sleeping patterns. I spoke to

her dad [i'm step-mom and we all live together] and he said

she's had this " wake up " problem for about 4 years.

Well, her parents are divorced and have been for a few years now

but she's still struggling with it. She and I are very close

and she sees her mother often. There is no fighting btwn her

parents. The sleep troubles started long before her mother

left. Mom didn't want to take the kids with her and Dad wanted

nothing more than to keep them so it worked out well. She's a

daddy's girl.

I think her elimination is normal. Bowel movement once a day.

She loves raw foods - all fruits and veggies. Eats salads.

Asks for fruit more than candy. Honestly I have to make sure

the other kids get fruit b/c she eats it so fast. Her skin is

normal I suppose. No blemishes. She gets rosy cheeks when she

is tired and also from running around outside.

As far as her respiratory system goes I'm not happy with it. If

she gets a cough it sounds like a bark, no kidding, and it seems

to hang on. She seems to be the first to get the cough and the

last one to have it. If she gets a cold she'll get a sniffle

but she doesn't have any food or airborne allergies that we know

of. My oldest boy does so I think I'd recognize similiar

symptoms in her.

Thanks, that would be great. I'll see about downloading

Msgr. Isn't that what you use? Also, I'm OK with using this

situation as an exercise -on list- if you find it appropriate.

I'm sure it'll be very helpful.

that is poking up through the sleepless nights now, and

especially now that she is young... Why wait and let it blossom

into a much larger challenge much further

I'm not sure about changing the last meal. I'm making slow

changes in this family and have been since I came on the scene.

We're eating a totally meatless day once a week, for example.

I'd better let hubby quit grumbling about that before I suggest

veggie dinners. Sundays are dinners at grandparents - HUGE meat

eaters. The finest cut of steak or tenderloins or roasts of

beef, porkloins or hams. Sometimes turkey. I don't know about

rocking the boat on this issue. I do however limit protein

intake to about 3-4 oz. a serving so each kid is getting a

portion of steak and not the whole piece. My mom's a vegan so I

do have recipes at my disposal.

We have a lot to change which is why I joined lists like this

one. Right now I'm focusing on counting glasses of water per

day and meeting 5 as the minimum for produce servings. I've

also made it plain to my dear hubby if he brings white bread

into this house he's toast! LOL I also focus on buying breads

with the highest dietary fiber grams per serving. I'd be happy

to get them all off of cow's milk but again, uphill and slow

struggle on that issue!

Thanks bunches Misty. I may not have said it before but I

really enjoy all of your posts, especially about E.O.s
