Guest guest
Hi, I just want to thank the owner of this list and prime participant for making so much well researched information available. While I don't take the ideas here as gospel, I do find that they are thoroughly presented and this makes it easier to do my own research on the topics. Thank you so much. Also, the breadth of the topics is great, too. I am currently a student at The Healing Arts Center in St. Louis, MO for massage therapy. My background includes 15 years as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry doing applied research - I am hoping to get out of this industry and into a more healthy and positive environment, though my training in it offers some advantages to understanding drugs. I hope to continue my education in various therapies and modalities for at least the next 40 years (I'm 40 this year), G-d willing. Compared to my " comrades " in the lab, I am " far out " , yet even I am surprised at my skepticism that the pharmaceutical industry and allopathic medicine is as evil as many make it out to be - myself included sometimes. I am now so skeptical of any research papers, be they pharmaceutical/allopathic or complementary/traditional that it is hard to know what to believe, which is one reason why I want to go into my own practice and find out what really happens in " the trenches " of healthcare. Thanks again for this group and if you have any suggestions for an aspiring massage therapist/healthcare provider, please let me know either on the list or perhaps preferably at this email address.
