Guest guest
Dear Saul... This board is here for the very reason to discuss and educate people about safe, natural, effective alternatives. Homeopathy is effective when applied correctly- and that is why it is so important to teach people about how to use homeopathy and it's principles... For example, the vital role of monitoring and re-tuning a case, rather than just taking a set remedy ad infinium... I have personally seen the difference it has made in my life, and in the lives of those around me... Even suicidal depression can come under the domain of different homeopathic remedies, and that is why it is so important to let people know there are options, and help them learn how to use them... Bach Flower remedies (which are a world apart from herbal St. John's Wart- which as a homeopath, and having a deeper understanding of Hypericum, I don't see as very valuable for depression anyways) are limited in that the potencies are limited, and the selection of remedies is limited compared to homeopathy, but because they too are vital in nature, and because they directly address and work with the emotional body, can still be of great value... Acupuncture, is a different system, and I am not thoroughly knowledgeable about it, but since it works with the vital force, aka chi, I can see where it would access the body in a deeper way and therefore able to make substantial shifts in the mind, body dynamic... Allopathic medicine gets more than it's fair share of media attention... To the tune of billions of dollars of advertizing per year... This board is dedicated to natural solutions and alternatives, what is becoming an increasingly persecuted territory... It is coming to the point where we are loosing the freedom to even discuss natural solutions outside of a medical model, even though the medical model is clearly shown to be hopelssly lost and confused, even to the point where in the Journal of the American Medical Association it is recognized to be the third leading cause of death in America... If instead of learning about these natural solutions, and how to use them, you are more comfortable and prefer to discuss allopathic medicine, may I suggest joining a more allopathic board instead... I am unaware of any alternative solutions that are as effective as anti-depressants. Homeopathy works for some people but is completely ineffective for others. And Bach Flower Remedies and other alternatives like St John's Work only work with very mild depression. While acupuncture has many proven benefits, it shouldn't be used as a direct response to depression or instead of medical intervention. Ignoring pharmacological intervention could be just as dangerous as dealing with 'dangerous anti-depressants'. More importantly, there should be a holistic approach, which alternative therapies being practised alongside medication. Saul > " Misty L.
