I had a doctor's appointment this week and learned that I am pre

menopausal. My doctor informed me that I could take hormones. But

the medical survey says that more and more women are getting cancer

who take hormones. Are there any natural medicines for pre menopause?

Your information would be valuable to me.

Thanks,

Jeanne

You could try Wild Yam extract. It has plant estrogens that are chemically

equivalent to that of human estrogen. Such things are called

phytoestrogens. Soy is also high in such phytoestrogens. You might also

wish to try Dong Qui, an herb used in Traditional (TCM) as

a tonic for women. Make sure you read the labels carefully, or best bet is

to try and locate a local TCM practitioner, Herbalist, or Naturopath in your

area (I'm assuming Misty has some ideas on Homeopathic remedies). There are

a few books out there that deal with natural hormone replacement. Check the

health section of your local bookstore, or try such magazines as Prevention,

Herbs for Health, or Natural Health. Most large bookstores carry them, plus

they all have websites.

Speaking of websites, you could also try www.webmd.com for alternatives to

hormone replacement therapies. They generally have an excellent record of

keeping up on the latest developments in all medicine.

Hope this helps,

John
