Purchase a negative ion generator for your home and office. This will help revitalize the air you breathe. 2. Get an anti-glare/radiation filter for your desktop monitor. The glare and radiation from your monitor have a stressful impact on your eyes and nervous system. 3. Breathe only through your nose when possible. If you breathe through your mouth you may lose too much carbon dioxide too quickly, which can constrict your arteries and make it more difficult for sufficient oxygen to reach the cells of your brain and body. 4. Get up from in front of your computer every 30 minutes or so, move around, and gently stretch. This will help relax your various breathing muscles and help you breathe more effectively. 5. Sense your face frequently and make sure that your face muscles stay relaxed. A relaxed face helps relax your entire body. 6. Move your eyes a lot, and look away frequently from the work you are doing. If your work does not allow you to do this, then at least use your peripheral vision more. This will help relax your diaphragm and enable better breathing. It will also help relax your nervous system. 7. Check your breathing frequently to make sure you're not holding your breath. The key is to keep breathing, especially in the middle of worry, anxiety, and other stressful situations. 8. If you are able to breathe deeply in a relaxed and effortless way, remember to do so every 30 minutes for a minute or so to remain calm. If you cannot remember, use a quiet alarm clock to remind you.
