Thank Rich, thats interesting..

From what i know, coffee is a Bitter\Sweet substance with a Warm

temperature and is a diuretic, purgative and a stimulant in its

actions.

the only thing that comes to me from tcm prespective is that the

first two actions move excess yang-qi downward from the head and maybe

resolve the wind-like spasm or vasoconstriction by doing that.

Or maybe by stimulating the movement of qi it removes the stagnation

which cause the yang to rise... maybe both mechanisms.. maybe none..

I enjoyed the post on green tea. There was a short

paragraph seeming to apologize for the caffeine

inherent in green tea. From what I have learned and

seen, caffeine is not evil. In fact, it is beneficial

when it is not used addictively. The amount of

caffeine in green tea is about 1/3 of that in a

" regular " cup of coffee. A few cups of green tea, a

little exercize, and a little sleep, and a person

might not get addicted to caffeine, but enjoy the

benefits of the tea in total. (The same probably goes

for all the " fat " talk. With all the low fat stuff on

the grocery shelves, Americans ought to be lean, but

their not. Maybe all the low fat talk has gotten out

of hand because it's good business. Good fat would be

a boon, but then people would have to eat less

processed foods. Oh well).

I haven't posted here before. I'm a chemist and

student in massage therapy. Live in St. Louis, MO.

### Decaf Coffee is 98% caffeine free, but what is neglected information is that regular coffee is 94% caffeine free. Just because it has less doesn't mean it is caffeine free. That 2% will still mess you up.Doc ###

Oh my gosh Doc, I learn something all the time here on HR's. When I drink coffee I buy from the local roaster and get 100% organic beans (fresh roasted) I grind at home before brewing. I also get a dark roast (less caffeine). My question "is caffeine always bad" I enjoy great coffee once in awhile. I like mine strong, but I only brew a cup at a time, (espresso) it's very sweet. I know that caffeine is not good if you depend on it, but I only drink it on occasion. Usually during the winter months, but occasionally during the rest of the year. Warmest thoughts.

Dear Micki,

This has to go completely. 100% finito!!!

Coffee is one of those triggers that by itself can be the cause of "Reverse Vectors".

In your case, you should never drink it, Black tea, soda pop, or eat chocolate ever again.

You have far too many issues, and are obviously far too sensitive.

Love,

Doc
