Guest guest
Dear Donald, Thank you, and yes, you are very correct. Macrobiotics is said to be of great benefit, personally though, it would be difficult for me to follow a diet that required the elimination of fresh fruit and required so much brown rice... just me... So I have also investigated the living/raw food diet. It is said that sprouted foods, such as alfalfa sprouts to wheatgrass, provide the body with intact enzymes, in addition to the benefits of raw alkalizing fruits and veggies. Living/raw diets, wheatgrass especially, have been credited with great results in severe conditions, up to and including cancer. But I have also heard that according to Oriental Medicine too much raw is said to create an imbalance... I have never been strict enough to notice an ill-effect, in fact I have always experienced just the opposite... But please continue to educate us on macrobiotic diets, I for one would like to know more, as that it is time for me to broaden my horizons and get past my resistance. Be Well, Misty L.
