Guest guest
Hi Deanna... Good question. Homeopathy unlike herbology is an energetic medicine. Homeopathy realizes once the vital force of the body is retuned and balanced, the body will automatically strengthen and rebalance the physiology of the body. Herbology depends on the chemicals in the herb to result in therapeutic effects. Homeopathy is predicated on the energetic essence of an herb, mineral, etc. To accomplish this, homeopathic remedies are diluted so that more and more of the crude material is removed and therefore refining/strengthening its energetic pattern. Now, please don't ask me how that all works. Let me say upfront, science is not ready to explain it, but as with all things in life, the proof is in the doing. What I can explain, is how the dilution works, which is what 6c/30c signifies. Homeopathic dilutions most commonly available are in x or c. X stands for 10, C stands for 100. If you take a drop of the mother tincture and add it to 9 drops of neutral alcohol and shake that would be 1x. 1 drop mother tincture + 9 drops alcohol = 1x Now take that one drop of 1x and add it to another 9 drops of alcohol, shake and you would have 2x 1 drop of 1x + 9 drops alcohol= 2x And so on... 1 drop 2x + 9 drops alcohol= 3x Now the C's work the same way, but in hundreds.. 1 drop mother tincture + 99 drops alcohol= 1c 1 drop 1c + 99 drops alcohol= 2c 1 drops 2c + 99 drops alcohol= 3c So in a nut shell x's are less diluted than c's, and 6c is less diluted than 30c. Now what blows the western mind is the more dilute it is, the stronger it becomes. So 30c is actually much stronger therapeutically than 6c. Just like 200c is significantly stronger than 30c. So if you had bought 6c by mistake instead of 30c, you will need to take it more often, and hopefully it would do the trick. But sometimes a certain level of stimulation is needed to reach critical mass. The higher the dilution, the stronger the stimulation. So 30c packs a larger " punch " , if you will, than 6c. As a general rule, with very few exceptions, because of this, I don't use potencies lower than 30c. I hope that helps, Misty L.
