Hi Eloise,

Thank you for sharing his progress with us.

Homeopathy is very much a process. When we look in the repetory

under HEAD, hair, falling there are 166 remedies. 17 of which rate

a three or above. Then when we consider all the remedies that rate

a two, there are over 30 more to look at, for a total of at least 47

remedies to seriously consider. So the question becomes where do we

begin? We start with the most likely remedies given the symptom

information we have. When there is limited symptom information,

such as single symptoms, the process becomes more challenging,

because there is no distinctive reason to choose one remedy over

another, save for experience. But that does not mean it is hopeless.

Again, in cases such as these we start with the most likely remedy

and see where that takes us. Carbo Veg was most indicated because

it covers the greatest territory and is useful for those who have

lived long, full lives. Not that two weeks is sufficent to restore

hair, I do find it significant that he is continuing to lose hair.

So with that in mind, without more symptom information to cross

reference, we have to look at the next general layer of most

possible remedies. In that case, it might be best to stop the carbo

veg and instead alternate graphites 30c and phosphorous 30c, though

I would still continue with the cell salts. Carbo veg laid the

foundation, in other words it would have helped the general

constituition, but now let's see if we can build on from there.

Likewise with the scabies. There are over 64 remedies indicated for

scabies. If no distinguishing characteristics are present in the

particular symptom, such as hair loss or scabies, it is useful to

know at least the conditions that one is prone to experience,

present and past, as that gives insight into the miasmic forces

taking place- basically the weak points in the body that act as an

entryway.

Without knowing a fuller history, using the limited information we

have, I would try using Arsenicum Alb 30c alternated with Causticum

30c for the person who has actually contracted the scabies. For the

person whose main goal is prevention I would consider Arsenicum Alb

30c alone.

Please keep us informed about how these conditions progress, or if

you can, any additional information/symptoms that can help us

identify the unique characteristics that we can repetorize.

Be Well,

Misty
