Guest guest
Worms and virus are rampant. Many lists have gone to placeing the information directly into the email instead of an attachment. If you use a virus program, I believe zip files are safe. I am asking if members would agree to " insert " their file into the email proper rather than use attachments. I would like the group to respond as to your wish's. Files can also be uploaded to the Files area if necessary. Then, I think, it's up to the individual to scan. MacAfee offers free online scanning of files (after download) with the lastest virus signatures. In addition, if you access your email from instead of an email program, if an attachment is present, will scan and clean the file for you before you download it. Of course none of these measures would protect one from ansi-bombs and macro-viruses that hide in text files. Moral of the story, back up your important info regularly.
