Guest guest
Hi, I just joined this group and I have a question. Since fats do not cause " hardening of the arteries " , what does. I have had so many by-pass surgeries in the past 10 years that my legs look like rows of tracts. I have been told by different doctors that my problems come from high cholesterol and I must get it down so that the plaque will not be able to stick to the artery walls. I have tried low fat diets with out any success and now you say that all fats may not be the villian just certain types of fats. Am I stating this correctly? Please help if you will. About two months ago I stopped taking the different cholesterol lowering (statins) drugs that were prescribed and so far I have not notice any difference. Thanks for any help. shirley
Guest guest
Shirley, I do not respond to questions like this by email. My main reason for donating so many hours to helping is for PUBLIC education. Done by email, no one else will ever see it. I would appreciate your helping me figure out how to make this more plain to new BB participants. Put your info on the Bulletin Board and I will respond within 24 hours. In the meantime, going to the atherosclerosis and the chelation archives will help you get started. Guest guest
Shirley, I feel that you may be on the wrong path - judging from the various choices you've followed. Seems to me that you'd benefit from taking the guidance from an integrative physician. Suggestion: Post your location, and we'll try to find you an appropriate referral. It could save your life. Guest guest
Hi Shirley... Have you ever felt like you had something on the tip of your tongue, but you just could not get it out? I know I have heard very insightful information about cholesterol, information that I would really like to share with the group but it is escaping me at the moment... My suggestion is to follow through with Dr. Stoll, look into the chelation section of his website (his site is on our links page) and perhaps looking for an integrated physcian is not a bad idea, and give me a day or so to do some research and track down the information I know that might be helpful as well... I am sure more people here will also do their best to help you out. Meanwhile consider researching into fasting, as well as sprouting, which would also include wheatgrass juice, and increase your water intake to at least a gallon a day (this is wonderful in so many ways, I can not list them all- but I can highly recommend the book " Your Body's Many Cries for Water " ). Hopefully with all the many disciplines we have represented here, we can at least point you in a productive direction... Guest guest
Hi Shirley & everyone... Ok,... I did the research as promised and this is what I learned... The body needs to be properly hydrated, for one reason amoung many is to keep the blood in the proper range of thickness so it can go through the blood vessels properly... Now when we are chronically dehydrated, the body will produce a grease to coat the vessels to help the blood go through and to protect any damaged areas in the vessels. What is that grease?- cholesterol! So of number one importance is drinking a lot of water. I would try to drink a gallon in the morning, the first 1/2hr to hr. that you are awake. Most people can not do this, so start where you can and add an extra glass a week until you are there. Then follow through with another gallon through out the day. Secondly, because of the tendency of the grease to coat injured areas, there are two homeopathic remedies that spring to mind for injuries. They are normally thought of as injuries to the surface of the body, but an injury, is an injury, is an injury- or at least in this case. Those remedies are arnica 30c and calendula 30c. If it were me, myself and I, I would alternate those remedies through out the day, making sure I took each at least three times a day... I would do this for at least a month and then check your cholesterol level, just to see... If you do decide to follow this protocol, please let us know how you are progressing... Guest guest
Thanks Misty and Everyone for trying to help me. It seemsas though my medical doctor told me that the blockage is notcaused by cholesterol. I am not sure but I'll find out tomorrowbecause thats when I will see him again. He and others havetold me so many different things until I do not remember who told me what nor what to believe anymore. I do know that I am willing to try just about anything within reason to get this problem under control. I have already tried the chelation (intervenious sp?) for 12 months in 2000 & 2001 but I had to stop because I didn't have any more money to pay for the therapy which is really expensive ($100.00 per visit five times a week) although I was notable to have the therapy five time each week but I did have it a few times per week. Now I read that certain fats do not cause intermittent claudication, what should I believe? I just know that I do want my arteries cleared so the blood can run freely. Thanks againfor all of your understanding and also to everyone else who is trying to help. There probably is a simply solution to my problem, I just wishthat I knew what it is. Thanks again. Also, I spend a lot of money taking everything that has been suggested to me. I evendrink only distilled water plus colloidal silver. I am at my wits in and feeling sorry for myself at this moment. I drink a gallon of distilledwater daily most days. Thanks for listening.Shirley " Misty L. Trepke " <mistytrepke wrote:Hi Shirley & everyone... Ok,... Guest guest
Dear Shirley... Thank for you posting your questions here, whether you are able to use the information posted in response or not, I am sure there are other people on the list that have the same questions you do... By your asking, the answers can be shared with everyone... I am very thankful for that. As for the despair, let me offer this: MIND, Despair, recovery of MIND, Pities herself (homeo speak is generally female) When I researched those two rubrics one remedy alone came up very strongly: Calcarea Carb. It was a 4 (as high as you can go)for the despair of recovery. It was a three- still significantly high, for the pities herself. You may want to consider learning more about this Calcarea Carb. As far as cost, homeopathic remedies should never be higher than $10 a piece, if they are, I would definately think twice about the manufacturer or the seller.
