They already have their board and licensing in place. Are they trying to hi-jack that also? Or am I reading that wrong? I personnally know 5 different chiropractors, one acupunturist, one TCM practioner, and one naturopath.......we all live in Florida..if they weren't aware of it before they are now...: ) I asked the acupuncturist if he thought they were stepping on his toes, I haven't heard back yet....his teacher sits on the Acupuncture Board (or whatever they call themselves) here....we'll see... Guest guest
Dear Khepri- That is how I read it too... But I could be mistaken, like Steve Patterson said, we need to be able to understand all of the legalese... But how it seems to me is that " Naturopathic Physicians " would be stepping on a lot of toes.. which is really bad because then they exclude those same practioners from practicing on the grounds that they are invading Naturopathic Physicians turf... You have to admire (in a rather removed and cynical light) how they took a concept, naturopathy, distorted & corrupted it and are wanting to use it against the very people using alternative medicine techniques. Though I don't live in Florida, I am from there, and have a deep love for it. (Plus I don't want to see legislation like this spread to other States) So I took a half hour yesterday and called every legislator on that list that would take my call... It seems they have been flooded with calls opposing HB 1615. I was happy to hear that... Roughly quoted, " The price of democracy ( & alternative medicine) is eternal vigilence " Thank you to the people who have taken time out of their very busy schedules to allow their voices to be heard...
