Greetings, everyone,

Misty asked if I would share some more with all of you about Energy

Psychology, so here goes. There are many different approaches and tools

within EP. What they have in common is a world view which understands energy

to be the underlying reality of all that is. We, like all of reality, are

understood to be primarily energy-based. In other words, we all exist and

function on physical, psychological (cognitive and emotional) and spiritual

levels according to our blueprints on an energetic level. All the other more

mundane levels flow from that energetic patterning. It is like our hard

wiring and our programming.

So if we are having problems in our lives, in some way those problems are

traceable to something which is out of kilter on the energy level. If we go

to that level, changes can often take place much more rapidly (sometimes

instantly) and with less effort. It's the equivalent of going from Newtonian

to quantum physics, where there can be instantaneous shifts from a wave to a

particle and vice versa, where particles effect each other at a distance, and

where an observer effects what is being observed. A wonderful strange new

world!

Our energy bodies are composed of 3 major components or systems (and others

as well). These include the meridian system - energy pathways with their

points or hsues which when stimulated enable the energy flow to be modulated,

the energy centers or chakras, and the biofield (aura) which surrounds each

of us. We can work to make an impact on any of these systems, and that impact

will then percolate through to the physical and other levels of our beings to

bring about desired changes and growth. EP approaches are also often

wonderful for releasing blocks and negative patterns of various kinds

Some of this work can readily and safely be done by anyone who learns the

techniques, on a self-help or first-aid basis. For other situations, guidance

by a skilled psychotherapist is indicated - when issues are complex,

multi-faceted, and when the individual is not able to see him or herself

clearly with reference to patterns of functioning. (This can be true for any

of us, depending on the issue and our circumstances). A therapist or

counselor may also be indicated if there is a need for someone to learn new

skills or to be supported by another while going through a change and growth

process.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is probably the most commonly used of

these approaches, and it works with the meridian system. You can learn it on

line, at the website of Gary Craig, the engineer who developed it based on

prior work by a number of very talented individuals. His website is

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you'd like further information

you'd like.

Have a great day!

Karen

Dear Misty,

I'm glad for your interest. And you might be interested to know that certain

versions of Energy Psych actually make use of homeopathic principles. The

approach along this line that I use is called etox, as in energy

detoxification, and it can be used to improve energetically the relationship

between an individual and something with which he or she might come in

contact. This could include something in the air, a food substance or

household substance, another individual, an emotion or whatever. It also

includes the idea that an emotional component is often involved in the form

of some emotional distress occurring at the time of first contact. As you may

know, homeopathic -like remedies can be created through use of simple devices

which can duplicate and potentiate the frequency of any substance, emotion,

etc.

I am pretty limited time wise now, unable to write out long protocols. If you

have a specific question regarding a particular situation, I'll be glad to do

what I can to address it. Meanwhile, some of you might be interested in going

to the Emotional Freedom Techniques website. EFT is probably the most

frequently used energy-based approach, and there is a great website

<emofree.com>. It describes the basic protocol in detail, gives many

variants, has lots of links to other approaches, and includes many case

histories.

Have fun!

Karen

Hi Karen & everyone,

Thank you for sharing this with us... I am very glad you are here,

we have a great opportunity to share and learn together...

Homeopathy, my background and passion, is firmly rooted in the idea

that we treat the vital force, the life sustaining, energetic force

that animates and directs the body. We realize, like you, that if

we can assist the vital force in regaining and re-establishing

harmony, the body, mind, and emotions will reflect that greater

state of balance and health.

We do not use hand's on techniques or counseling, but rather

energetic remedies that are meant to retune the vital force.

Would you enjoy doing a little show and tell? I have a personal

interest in first aid, acute care conditions. Can you describe what

you would recommend for us to do in situations like those? I

realize that is a huge territory, perhaps choose what most interests

you.

Meanwhile I will research and write up homeopathic first aid

protocols.

As one of the goals of this site, it would be nice to be able to

expand our arsenal of healing tools...

Are there any other people out there that would like to add to this

first aid/or acute care/or energetic/vital force show and tell?

Your insight is more than welcomed!

Be Well,

Misty
