Guest guest
I'm a newmember of this group, having discovered it today during a web search. I've been into alternative healthcare practices and products since 1968. My daughter was very small and always sick. What the doctors were doing made her worse and I thought " there's GOT to be something better! " My ex-mother-in-law came to visit and brought 2 boxes full of Organic Gardening and Prevention magazines - back when they really were GOOD! I started an organization and newspaper in St. Louis in 1969 called The Clean Green Thumb. It covered organic gardening and farming, nutrition and environmental issues. Then when I moved to Lincoln, NE in 1971 I started another organization and what became a state-wide newspaper within 6 months called Green Power. (Oh, how I wish I'd trademarked THAT name!). We had an environmental awareness day the same day as the second Earth Day and had over 1,500 people from all over the midwest! even the Governor of NE came. He was kind enough to declare Environmental Awareness Day in NE for us as part of our event. I took a 25 year hiatus from those kinds of things while I was an ironworker in ND, MT, CA, HI & most recently in North Carolina. I was always the " health nut " on the job and carried a BIG lunch box full of herbal remedies and things to help burns, bumps, bruises and scrapes. Guys always came to me for help. Plus I have been an EMT since 1975 and worked on ambulance squad for about 5 years in ND. Currently I help publish a magazine called Integrative Health & Healing. Last summer we went national and changed the name from Carolina Health & Healing to Integrative Health & Healing. Our current issue is on Detoxification & The Magic of Water. The next issue features Regeneration & Spirituality & Medicine. I just finished typing my interview of Larry Dossey, MD for the next issue! If you'd like to advertise in the next issue, the deadline is Feb. 15. Ad rates are online: www.integrativehealthandhealing.com IH & H has some fabulous articles... which I can totally relate to, having had 16 dental amalgams removed in the past 2 years + detoxing from 22 years of welding! I recently was introduced to some terrific detox pads that are pulling toxins out of the bottom of my soles! I had them tested 2 weeks ago and they showed mercury, lead, aluminum, nickel, barium and a lot of parasites! I will be very happy to send more info if anyone is interested! My daughter's results are even more astonishing... because she is currently a welder AND smokes! I think looking at detox test results have changed her mind about the cigarettes...!
