Guest guest
Hello everyone... I was searching around on the net, researching my next article on Hormone Replacement Therapy, when I stumbled across this really informative thread about sugar alternatives... Some of the sugar alternatives out there like aspartame and saccharin are really bad news... It is amazing how this stuff can find its way into the public arena especially when the FDA's own list of symtpoms include DEATH! It just brings it home all the more that we can't rely on others to look out for own well-being... We need to become self-empowered and start reclaiming our own health and wellness. And there is hope! I also have a link speaking about Stevia, a natural herbal sweetner. I actually have this growing in my garden, so I plucked a leaf, and tried it for myself, and it is very, very sweet... To find out more, go to bookmarks and look under diet. Then from there click on " Sugar and Sugar Alternatives " ... Be Well, Misty / ps- Do you have information that you would like to share with the rest of us? Don't be shy... Post it here so we all can learn together!
Guest guest
I use Stevia and feel good about it. I got it at Wild Oat's. It's by Innovative Products and it's liquid. Very strong - I add 4 or sometimes accidentally 5 drops to my 8 oz plain yogurt. That's plenty. Here's my usual breakfast: 8 oz plain yogurt, full fat stevia cinnamon - usually 2 tblsp lecithin 2 tblsp milled flax seed 1 tblsp brewer's yeast 1/3 cup raw slivered almonds This really keeps me full. I feel like it's a treat even. I have type B blood and the lecithin with flax is from Dr D'Adamo's membrane fluidizer cocktail. I can't have fruit juice, which is what he recommends, so I replaced it with yogurt. I'm diabetic and the cinnamon is supposed to help.
