Guest guest
Hi Dena… It was nice to see you yesterday. Yours is a very good question- how to lose weight. This issue hits home for most of us. Just to give you the highlights until I can get to writing the article, which should be before the end of August (thanks for the suggestion!) is: drink a gallon of water a day, starting with 6 glasses of water when you wake up, so it should be on an empty stomach and it is in harmony with your body's natural elimination cycle. Rebounding- to clean and clear the lymph system- this is a form of exercise using a mini-trampoline, they should be around $20 at K-Mart- do this every day, even a couple of times a day... And finally, consider doing a fast. Fasting is a time for the body to cleanse, use up old stored calories (fat), but even more importantly it is a mental/spiritual exercise. What drives us to eat? When attempting a fast be the judge of your own body and limitations, fasting is not recommended for diabetics. I have been told a pure water fast is best, but that strikes me as difficult for people new to fasts to try... An alternative would be to do a fruit fast (if you have a juicer at home this is best, but if not, you need to go out to get fresh juice) for two days, then a water fast for 1-2 days, then finish with two more days of fruit. And remember how you break the fast, what you eat right after the last day of fasting, is crucial to whether this fast is cleansing or jarring to your system... So try not to celebrate the completion of the fast with, say, pizza... Good luck, let me know how it goes… Be Well, Misty.
