Guest guest
I am God's and Only God is Mine Question: Swamiji, you often say - This body keeps changing, I am not this body - Now what must be predominantly important to one who is following the path of bhakti (devotion)? Swamiji: I am only God's and only God is mine - that has greater significance to one following the path of bhakti (devotion). When you become God's, nothing is needed. You remain the very same even at time of the great dissolution (mahaapralay) . Question: Should one who is following the path of devotion (bhakti yog) think at all about the fact that this body in not mine and I am not the body? Swamiji: No †" In the path of devotion both Sat (Real) and Asat (Unreal) is God, Bhagavan alone. " I am not this body " is more jnana / vivek maarg (Path of Knowledge). But in bhakti, (path of devotion) it is only God (Bhagavaan). Question: For five years I have been reading Sadhak Sanjivani. I have memorized the Gita by heart, what do you suggest for me? Swamiji: Become God's. Only God is mine. No one else is mine. Bhagavaan is everything and everyone Bhagavaan is mother, father, wife, husband. He is the entire family. It is only Him. No one else is mine. I have said this many times. Simply become firm on this one point. In the path of Knowledge (jnana maarg), wisdom (buddhi) is important; But in devotion (bhakti), it is faith. There is no doubt about this. " Ishvar ansh jeev avinaashi. " We are a part of only God. I am only God's. Question: You have talked about acceptance at " Swayam " (Self). Now what is the difference between acceptance by " swayam " and " buddhi " (intellect)? Swamiji: Are you the intellect or is the intellect yours? The intellect is yours. OK, now you have proved your point. In Gita 9:30 the acceptance was by the self (swayam). Become Bhagavaan's, then nothing is needed. Absolutely nothing. Only God is mine. I am only God's. I am no one else's. Question: At some places it is indicated that nothing moves without God (Bhagavaan). If that is the case then what is the need for karma (actions)? Swamiji: You are God's and God is yours.. have no doubts on this. Be firm on this one very point. This body is not yours. When you came to this world, did you bring anything with you? Nothing! Can you take anything with you? Can you answer that question? What will you take with you? Not even a penny? Not even a tiny needle? Therefore nothing at all is yours. We are simply a part (ansh) of Paramatma's. This is the only truth. You know this. It is a mistake, a grave mistake to give so much importance to money and things. Truthfully you are only a traveler. Today here, tomorrow there. Nothing will be of use when you move on. These things that you have claimed to be yours are all false. Can you prove you can take it with you? This body? This house? Your wealth? I have known of billionaires, who said they will donate money, but they died over night and could not do anything. Having intentions to do something and not doing it, leads to debt. Whatever work has to be done, do it quickly. Do not get into debts. No one will go with you. Ask everyone you are close to! You will find out. It is only an attachment. Become alert! (Chait karo!) Remain constantly alert! What will go with you? What has come with you? Simply remember Ramji. Give to the needy. The end is nearing. Everything will be left behind!
