Venkateswara Swami is the presiding God in Telugu households. All Telugu

devotees visit Tirupati many times in life. Sri Venkateswara

Suprabhatam is the first ritual performed in the early morning Brahmamuhurtam at

Tirumala Tirupati Balaji temple. The contents signifies this hymn as prayer to

Lord Venkateswara as Supreme Parabrahma.

Suprabhatam consists of seventy Sanskrit slokas divided into four

parts,Suprabhatam,Stotram,Prapatti and Mangalasasanam. In them the Suprabhatam

consists of 28 stanzas. The suprabhata recitation ritual is performed to wake

up the Lord from His Celestrial sleep amidst chanting of hymns.

The Suprabhatam constitute the corpus of sounds and are comprehensive in their

sweep and magnitude. Reading, listening, and singing of the Sri Venkateswara

Suprabhatam bestows peace and bliss.
