Guest guest
                        INTROSPECTION Have  you ever ventured to  look within you? Or are youm afraid that skeletons than you expected would tumble down from the inner cupboards? Your fear may not be baseless. Still you should turn with in yourself. When the string of a bow is drawn towards you, then only the arrow can be shot with a force.Only when the string of your thought is drawn inwards, then only the arrow of activity will gain force.     Fear is an animal instinct.Man has nothing to do with it.You must be bold enough to face the truth. There is nothing wrong or shameful in owning responsibility to a misdeed or a sinful thought. What we want and try to achieve is to grow above them. For what we have to face them. How can you fight the unknown faceless devils? Give a shape to them and annihilate them.       Introspection is necessary whenever we feel hurt or shamed. Why are we hurt? Is it because someone  put a finger on our shortcoming or is it because our ego is hurt? Think back and observe yourself when you have achieved  any success. How do you feel? Puffed up with pride?    Remember : Achievement and success are temporary.Class and performance are permanent.Success should lead to more success.Pride is the pit on the path  to success .Dont fall into it.  And what are your thoughts about the losers?Do you consider that as you have achieved the high position now that you not more effort into that work or practice?    Remember that practice alone makes a man perfect.Practice is like a hand fan.It gives you cool air onlywhen you move it .The movement you stop, there won’t be any cool air ! Study the following and answer the question :   Rakesh was senior to Mahesh in college.Mahesh got a job in the bank after finishing his studies. But Rakesh had to wait for a few years to get  a job, and last he also got ajob in the same bank. But now Rakesh became junior to Mahesh.Though  mahesh showed the necessary respect to Rakesh, the latter always felt  that he was slighted by mahesh.when Mahesh tried to explain the procedure once or twice as Rakesh control himself  and cried foul He went to the extent of lodging a complaint of harassment against Mahesh. Now why was Rakesh hurt when Mahesh pointed out his mistakes ? How do you feel if you are in the shoes of Rakesh? If you are the higher authority, what will be your judgement? And what is your suggestion to Mahesh? Study your reactions at each and every step—during conversations, at work etc --- for one day from the time you got up from the bed till the time you go to bed.Record them.Analyze them. What you learn is about yourself. And it will be thousand-fold more than what any psychiatrist can tell you ‘You shall not covet your nieghbour’s goods, but rejoice  at the fortunes of other people                               -the buddha'' ‘’Summe up at night what thou hast done by day; and in the morning what thou hast to do                      -George Herbert’’ COURTESY:I.SRINIVAS [MIHIRA] Regards Bharathi.A
