The one who is responsible is the one who is satisfied.

 

Contemplation:

When responsibility is taken up and fulfilled with commitment, there

is

efficiency and effectiveness in the work. This results in satisfaction

and contentment at having made a significant contribution.

 

Application:

Each day let me take up the responsibility of contributing something

significant to any task, even if it is a simple one. Having done this,

I will find that I am able to be happy with whatever I am doing, for

having made some contribution.

There is happiness in distributing the fruit of your fortune with

generosity.

 

Contemplation:

The more you remember your fortune of what you have attained, the more

you will enjoy sharing it with others. And the more you give your own

treasure it increases too.

 

Application:

Each one has his own share of fortune. Think of all those things that

you have for which you would consider yourself fortunate. When you

begin to look at these things you will stop expecting but make the

best

use of what you have.

Humility comes from an open and clean heart.

 

Contemplation:

Humility needs a good home to dwell in. When the mind is filled with

negative feelings or biased ideas towards anyone, we cannot use

humility. So

we need to fill our mind with positive thoughts towards everyone.

 

Application:

If I have negative thoughts towards anyone, I need to make an attempt

to

remove them. I need to tell myself that what I don't like about a

person is

just one particular aspect and not the person himself. In this way I

will

be able to change my own attitude and also will help the other person

also

to bring about change.

Humility brings learning.

 

Contemplation:

Where there is humility there is willingness to learn. When humility

is

lacking, ego comes which doesn't let us learn from all situations and

people. The power of humility enables us to learn and move forward.

 

Application:

When I'm faced with criticism, I need to see what I can learn from it,

instead of feeling bad about it. Even things that go wrong have

something

to teach me, if I am willing to learn. With humility I continue to

learn.

Words filled with good wishes bring change in others.

 

Problem:

Many times we do correct people, but we find that the effect of our

words on

others' is not so much. We are at that time so caught up with what we

need

from the other person and our own expectations that we fail to

understand

the other person. So I don't always find the result and sometimes

find my

relationship getting strained too.

 

Solution:

When there are good wishes combined with the words that I speak,

there is

love. Whatever is spoken with love is free from selfishness and has

its

effect on others. Such words are free from all kind of negativity, so

they

naturally have a lot of power. Only such powerful words can bring

about a

change in others. This also enables me to gain good wishes for having

taken

them a step forward.

To have positive thoughts is to be a well-wisher.

 

Problem:

 

We normally want the best for everyone and we ensure that everything

goes on

well. But we really don't know the method for service. Our idea of

service

is only limited to physical act of bringing benefit to another

person. But

it is not always possible to do this kind of service.

 

Solution:

 

To be full of good thoughts is to be a true well-wisher. When I am

full with

the treasures (jewels) of knowledge I am able to spread positive

vibrations

through my mind. I am able to give benefit to all I meet. My words and

actions would be those that bring benefit to others.

Purity of spirit is a beautiful state of being. It comes when we are

willing to open our soul completely to the pure energy of God and let

all the vestiges of negativity with us be gradually washed away. As

purity increases, thoughts become simpler, fewer and infused with

love and compassion for everyone we meet. Pure thoughts have

remarkable power. Plans made in such a state of benevolence are

blessed with success.
