Srimad Bhagavatam - Discourse Series in Bakthi TV

Dear Members,

 

In continuation to my earlier mail of Telecasting of Thirupavai series in Bhakti

channel, I would like to mention that the viewer ship ratings as informed by the

channel was very good and they have asked us to continue on “Srimad

Bhagavatham”.

 

As mentioned in my previous posts on " Srimad Bhagavatam it is 'svayam' (is in

itself) Bhagavan.

 

Our Swamiji used to say that Srimad Bhagavatam is greater than Ramayana,

Bhagavad-Gita or any other great work because mere listening to Bhagavatam takes

one to 'moksha'. Once the work of Lord Sri.Krishna’s incarnation was completed

and had to leave this world,

Lord Sri.Krishna entered Srimad Bhagavatam as He desired to remain in this world

in Kaliyuga. Srimad Bhagavata 'pãrãyana' (chanting/reading aloud) bestows

liberation even if done imperfectly. Even mere listening bestows 'moksha'. Sage

Vyasa had given it to Sukãchãrya who in turn passed it on to Parikshit. That

which is attained by Karma, Bhakti, Yoga is easily attained by merely listening

to Srimad Bhagavatam. The proof of this was King Parikshit himself.

be rendered by Smt.Latha Ravichandran.

wonderful feelings our members are sharing with me after reading through our

Swamiji’s articles. It is indeed a pleasure in being

with our group and the earnestness our members have in understanding the essence

and purpose of life and seeking to march forward through this easy path of Nama

material and spiritual upliftment to humanity at large with the base of the

rock-solid foundation of the Vedas. The goal of this

movement is to reach the people in every corner of the world and make them

realize the value in chanting the divine Name of God for happiness, peace and

prosperity.
