Guest guest
All Must Exclusively Take Refuge in only God - Gita 9:32 Oh Paartha, women folk, Vaisya, Sudras and even those that are born of sinful wombs taking refuge in Me, attain Me (the Supreme God). (Gita 9:32) " Maam hi paarth vyapaasritya ye'pi syuh paapayonayah striyo vaisyaasthathaa sudraaste pi yaanti paraam gatim " (Gita 9:32) In this verse, God by calling out the women folk (striyah), refers to women of all castes, creed, color, class and country, however she may be, they all by taking refuge in God, become pure and attain God. Just like Devahuti, Sabari, Kunti, Draupadi, Vraja's cowherdesses, Meera, Karamaiti, Karamaabai, Phulibai are all the women devotees who attained Him. In this verse " Paapyonayah " (born of the sinful wombs) has been independently presented. The calling out of women folk, vaisyas and sudras separately is not to be considered as the significant portion of the message linking them to sinful wombs " paapyonayah " ; because by doing so, many obstacles can come in the way. Women can be of any of the four castes, and of these the Brahmana, Ksatriya and Vaisya women can perform Vedic rutuals, oblations etc along with their husbands. Therefore how can the women folks be considered born of sinful wombs " paapyonayah " ? Rather, they cannot be called born of sinful wombs. Inspite of women being of one of the castes, God spells out women folks separately. And the point of calling out separately the women folks is that by taking refuge in God women can independently, attain God and not necessarily have to be adjoined by their husbands. Therefore, women should mentally not take the least bit of support of any other individual, and must exclusively take refuge only in God.
