Guest guest
Renounce Attachment to the World The world appears to exist due to our attachment. That which we are attached to, seems to be real, existing and of great importance (valuable). Without attachment, the world may appear to exist, but it is not of any great significance (value, importance). Therefore God has said in the Gita " Asangasastrena drdhena chittvaa, " (Gita 15:3) meaning - to totally wipe out attachment to the world. In other words, within your inner self, not to believe or be attached to any relation in the world, rather not to consider anything in the world as our own, besides God. Simply speaking, it means, in the entire Universe and creation, not to assume anything as " mine " or " for me " . In fact the existence of the world does not lead to bondage, but it is the assumed relationship and attachment to the world, that leads to bondage. Existence of the world is not the obstacle, but attachment is the obstacle. Therefore though many scholars call the world as real or unreal, God focuses on renouncing the attachment to the world. Having given up attachment to the world, the world in its seeming form disappears and it is revealed as a manifestation of God - " Vasudeva Sarvam " " All is God " .
