This is the birth of ego. The next verse explains it further. Atmano Vikriya Nasti Buddherbodho Na Jatviti Jivah Sarvamalam Jnatva Jnata Drsteti Muhyati " The Atma (or the Self) does not undergo change and the intellect is inert. However, when the Atma enters the intellect, the individual (Or Jeeva) being conditioned to be limited, is deluded into thinking " I am the knower, I am the perceiver " . Contd....
