Guest guest
The Science of the Self is Perfect; It is the Best In Gita the Lord says - " Of Sciences, I am the Science of the Self " (Gita 10:32) " Adhyatmavidyaa vidyaanaam " (Gita 10:32) Adhyatmavidyaa - is the science that leads a man to salvation. All other sciences (and learnings) are imperfect. Something remains to be known, after knowledge us gained from these. But the science of the Self is perfect. After knowing it, nothing else remains to be known. It is referred to as the Lord's glory. Of all the sciences, " adhyatmavidya " i.e. Science of the Self (Soul) is the best. The same science has been called " Brahmavidya " . The Lord calls " adhyatmavidya " i.e. the science of the Self as His divine glory because it is the simplest, easiest and is directly realizable to all. There is no difficulty, in practicing it, in understanding it and in attaining it. In fact, practicing, understanding and attainment are not applicable to it at all. The reason is that it is ever attained and in all the states - wakefulness, sleep and sound sleep etc. It ever remains the same. The science is evident and can be clearly realized, but we cannot realize the existence of the world as clearly. We should understand this fact. If we think of our childhood and see our present state, we find that now the body is not the same, the habits are not the same, the language is not the same, the behavior is not the same, the places we used to visit are not the same, the timeframe is not the same, friends and companions are not the same, activities are not the same, ideas are not the same, all of these have changed, but our Self has not changed - therefore we say, " I am the same one that was in childhood. " It means that whatever has changed is of a different nature, and whatever has not changed is of a different nature. What has not changed is the " Self " and whatever has changed is the body. This is the science of the Self i.e. Atmajnana.
