SAROJINI MULEY [Kaka Saheb MAHAJINIS DAUGHTER]

Both her parents were devoted to Baba. Hence she was

inculcated into the Bhakti Marg very early in life. Sarojini was born on

May 2nd 1910 at Bandra. She was the daughter of Lakshman Ganesh

Mahajini, whom Baba called 'Kaka.' Mention is made of in various places

in the Sai Satcharita #12, 35] Sarojini first visited Shirdi in 1918

along with her father. Baba upon seeing her beckoned her to come close.

He said: this is My Maina [sparrow] then He sat her on His lap. She

visited Shirdi often with her father. Baba asked them to stay at Shama's

home. The stay would often be for 5-7 days sometime longer, depending on

when Baba gave them permission to leave.

Sarojini did her primary education at the Hujurpaga High

School Pune. She learned classical music. She played the Harmonium and

Dilruba. As she was very talented she mastered both instruments. Having

successfully passed many examinations, she had numerous certificates.

She married Bhaskar Vinayak Muley, in 1928, and moved to Indore. Her

husband worked in the Holkar State Offices at first, and later was in

the administrative services of Madhya Pradesh. Upon retiring from the

services he did a lot of social work, along with his wife. Sarojini was

an office bearer of the Tukogang Bhagani Mandal, and did various charity

projects.

Once Kaka visited Shirdi and Baba said 'He had visited his

home 'Anand Ashram' in Pune, and found the door locked.' Upon returning

home he questioned his wife. She confirmed it saying, she had gone to

the Ram Mandir at that time. Sarojini tirelessly worked for Shirdi Sai

Baba Sansthan. She was president of the annual Sai Leela Magazine

meeting in 1981.

She took Samadhi on 16.11.1998. Her daughter with her family
