Guest guest
Dear sir, Namasthe, I completely agree with Mr KS Rao for his grasp of the various aspects of Pooja covering Naivedyam etc. We are sure that no part of our offering is taken in by the God we asre praying for, but I am sure that it receives the blessing of God for our consumption and so we take it as having been taken in by God himnself. Apart from that people like me may not be satisfied unless it is physically taken in by God. For ensuring this what I do it is: KERP A SPOONFUL OF NAIVEDYAM ON THE COMPOUND WALL OR NEAR THE TAP SO THAT IT IS ACCESSIBLE TO BIRDS LIKE SPARROWS OR CROWS OR SQUIRREL. Before I look back, I am sure that part of the prasad is snatched away by one of these birds. Since I make it a habit to do like this around the same time, every day, I find that these birds are actually waiting for your spoonful of rice/pongal or other naivedyam and snatches it away in few seconds. More than that, if I delay this offering too long after the usual timing, they even cry out KAA--KAA thereby reminding me that prasad time is over. This type of offering prasad gives immense pleasure that my naivedyam is taken in physically by God himself. Only after ensuring this I take my food. I hope I have made my concept of naivedyam & prasadam clear. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to express my views on the subject. Thank you for my readers.
