Guest guest
Dear Friends After completion of my daily Puja, I offered Prasadam to my most beloved God Sri Jagannath Swamy. A Doubt sparkled in my mind - Why should we offer prasadam to God when everything is given by God? I answered myself this way! When ever I offer some toffees to my dearest daughter Sniggy she does n't gobble it at once! She offers me few toffees to me and then eats the rest. This act of hers makes me feel that I am in the seventh heaven. Perhaps God being our Father, might feel the same way. Then I posed the same question to my wife, Mrs. Rajya Sri, who is a voracious reader and a journalist. Pat came the reply; it is a sign of gratitude. You cannot leave the master of the house uncared for! Besides this gesture, gives a feeling that God is living with us and sharing every moment with us. Again I posed the question to my colleague Mrs. Aruna Yasoda, who is a stanch devotee. She said it is to inculcate a habit of acknowledging that everything belongs to God. We should always say Krishnaarpanamasthu !! Until it became a force of habit. Secondly, She added if we attain the realized state and feel that every thing is god's own by mind, deed and thought. There is no need to offer prasadam, But It is difficult to attain this state of mind. Only Siddha Purusha's can have this kind of mind set. My colleague Sri Vishnu Prasad who is Krishna Bhakta and who practices of Bhakti Marg narrated that one should develop prasada manas tatvam. We have to surrender our mind which is filled with Raga and Dvesha in the form of prasadadm to the supreme being. If .we achieve this sarvsya saranagathi state. There is no difference between Eesha and Jeeva. Now it is your turn! How do you answer this? Your reply will be posted in Telugu Bhakti Pages - . Also if you have any other topic to churned out.
