3 guests, a wonderful storyA woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beardssitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don'tthink I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have somethingto eat.""Is the man of the house home?", they asked."No", she replied. "He's out.""Then we cannot come in", they replied.In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened."Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"The woman went out and invited the men in""We do not go into a House together," they replied."Why is that?" she asked.One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to oneof his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I amLove." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one ofus you want in your home."The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband wasoverjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us inviteWealth. Let him come and fill ! ! our home with wealth!"His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. Shejumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love?Our home will then be filled with love!""Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife."Go out and invite Love to be our guest."The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love?Please come in and be our guest."Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got upand followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I onlyinvited Love, Why are you coming in?"The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, theother two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever Hegoes, we go with him. Below are extracts from a TV interview he gave to an Italianproducer.What is lacking in this high-tech, electronically orientated Western Societyis the synergistic aspect of Spirituality. By this I mean the effects of thepositive mind on the patient's health. The patient's belief system does notenter into healthcare considerations in Western Europe, except of coursewhenit comes to psychiatric illnesses.So I was very surprised, the first time that I visited the Hospital here, tosee the number of large photos displayed of Bhagavan Sai Baba, as mostWesternhospitals might perhaps have one picture of the Head of State in thereception room. But I was informed that it was the patients who needed that, to providespiritual support and the assurance that Baba was present to lend Hissupport tothe healing process. The psychological belief of the patient that a HigherBeing will help him get well is largely ignored in the West. Over the last 20 years I have been to dozens and dozens of hospitals and Iwork in a hospital and I know hospitals very well, but I have never seenanythinglike this on Earth. Everyone is there to help you, it is a wonderful feelingfar removed from the national healthcare in the west which does not seem towork very well. I went to a hospital with my daughter in Sweden when she had a glasssplinter in her eye and we had to wait 5 hours in emergency before we wereseen - therewere no doctors available. You can go to private healthcare but then youhave to pay. But here this free hospital is really a marvelous creation.I think the whole structure and concept is absolutely marvelous. It is notdifficult to find the latest medical technology and the world's hospitalsarefilled with expensive and advanced medical technology. It is also easy tofind free hospitals. But a combination of the two, of a super specialty, highly advanced state ofthe art hospital that is free to the poor is a completely unique concept.Andif we add the idea of Sai Baba's presence, the spirituality that Hispresence in the form of photos or His actual presence lends to the Hospital,it becomesa very unique creation. Yes, I have been to Puttaparthi. I have visited most of Sai Baba's creations- the University, the Hospital that is there, the sports field, the libraryand so on and they are all marvelous creations. It is unbelievable that Hehas created this wondrous achievement based in a little village; it isreallyvery, very impressive. And the medical facilities are just as good as inWhitefield - it is the same high quality and the same friendly staff. So in summary, the impressive thing about the Hospital created by BhagavanSai Baba is the combination of the three aspects: state-of-the-arttechnology;free medical treatment and the healing powers of His presence instilling inthe patient the firm belief that he/she will get well; this is something Ibelieve Western healthcare would do very well to consider.
