Guest guest
All religions have taught only what is good for humanity. Religion should be practised with this awareness. If the minds are pure, how can religion be bad? It is a mark of ignorance to consider one religion as superior and another as inferior and develop religious differences on this basis. The teachings of all religions are sacred. The basic doctrines are founded on truth. Atma-Tatwa (the truth of the Spirit) is the essence of all religions, the message of all the scriptures and the basis of all metaphysics. - BABA --------- How can you resolve the conflicts in your mind while making choices on the tasks to be performed in a day? Swami gives us clear instructions. Sai Inspires - 7th December 2008 Go straight along the path of Karma (Action) and Dharma (Virtue) towards Brahma, the Supreme Reality. This is your destiny. Action has to be performed, there is no turning away. Each has his allotted task, according to the status, taste, tendency and earned merit. Do it, with the fear of sin. Welcome pain and grief, so that you take both success and failure as hammer strokes to shape you into a sturdy Sadhaka, spiritual aspirant. - Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 5, Ch 13, Mar 24 1965. " Inner content is more important than outer prosperity " - Baba ------------- Thus Spoke The Lord ( From the mail of Rajesh Davda ) We see in the world today, disorder, violence and conflict. The world is like a sick man afflicted with many ailments. What is the cure for these ills? Man must shed his selfishness, greed and other bad qualities and rise above his animal nature. He must cultivate Charity (unselfishness) to achieve Purity. Through purity of hearts, men will achieve Unity, which will lead to Divinity. The mansion of human life should be built on these four bases. My Humble Offering 2u My Lord Sai - Art by Divine Light - USA ------------- SAI HUMOR And Words of Wisdom from Swami Puttaparthi: When visiting the ashram to see Baba, He tells us that if we leave our ego's behind and come with open hearts, He can fill them with love He has come to give. So when visiting Puttaparthi we should PUT APART THE I. Properties: are not Proper Ties. Parents: are given that name, because it is through them that we have the wonderful chance of life on earth. For the sacrifices that they have made for us, we must PAY RENTS to them. Peace: People clamor " I want Peace " , But they do not let go of I(ego) or Want(desire). I and Want deal with the outside world. Peace is inside, pieces are outside. Patience: Doctors need more patience, not patients. Interview: Don't clamor for an interview. Instead search for the INNER VIEW. Diamond: Why do you seek a diamond to give you joy? Seek instead the state of DIE MIND, which will give you pure and lasting joy. Skill: Knowledge must develop by balance into skill or else it degenerates into KILL. Hello: Do not greet anybody when the heart is filled with anger distrust etc. Have, instead, a pure hollow from which a whole hearted Hello emanates. Television: is TELE-VISHAM (POISON). Study: to be STEADY. -- SING THE SONG OF LOVE " Scatter the seeds of Love in dreary desert hearts; then sprouts of Love will make the wastes green with joy, blossoms of Love will make the air fragrant, rivers of Love will murmur along the valleys, and every bird will beat, every child will sing the song of Love.... Cultivate a nearness with me in the heart and it will be rewarded. Then you too will acquire a fraction of that supreme love. " Sathya Sai Baba SAI VEDA The womb of the mother symbolizes the mother earth. As is the seed of thought sown in it, so is the fruit that it yields. You can not expect mangoes by sowing a need seed. So, the mother should foster good thoughts, good words and good deeds. Only then can she beget virtuous children. Today we find many children having bad qualities and wicked conduct. The reason for this can be attributed to the bad thoughts of their mothers. --------------- BLISS SAI GITA Mind-control is so difficult, beyond the reach of all. It is so wayward, never halts at one place. How can one enter upon yoga with such mind ? It is not an impossible task; the mind can be mastered, however difficult the task may be. By systematic practice and by relentless inquiry and detachment - the mind can be mastered. --- NAMADHU SINDANAIKKU BAGWAN BABAVIN ARULVAKKU ------- May those, whose holy task it is, To guide impulsive youth,Fail not to cherish in their soulsA reverence for truth; For teachings which the lips impartMust have their source within the heart ---------- POEM - THUS I AM BORN Thus I am bornMake me speak soft, sweet words;Make me behave comfortingly to all;Let me do deeds that shower happiness on all,And form ideas in my mind that are beneficial to all. May this day be made worthwhile by thy service. - Baba - -------------------------- Stories and Parables Stories and Parables quoted from the Discourses of Sri Sathya Sai Baba THE MIRROR Zebunnissa was the daughter of the Moghul Emperor Aurangazeb. She was not only beautiful and charming but a great scholar and a poetess. She was an ardent lover of Indian Culture. Once, Aurangazeb gave her a beautiful mirror as a birthday gift. Zebunnissa loved the mirror very much. One day her maid was holding the mirror to her while Zebunnissa was combing her hair after her bath. The mirror just slipped from the hand of the maid and broke into pieces. The maid was mortally afraid. She knew that the mirror was a precious gift, given to the princess and how much she loved the mirror. The maid was prepared to accept any punishment her princess may give her. She fell at her feet. But the princess very calmly said with a smile. " Get up. I am glad the instrument of flattery is broken. Why worry over the broken mirror? Even this body to which all these articles cater is liable to damage and destruction " .
