What is the proper offering to God? Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita says - Patram, Pushpam, Phalam, Toyam (leaf, flower, fruit and water). What do these signify? Your body is the leaf; your heart is the flower; your mind is the fruit and the tears of bliss is the water to be offered to God. Instead of attaching undue importance to this ephemeral body, emphasise on the Atma tatwa (Atmic principle). The body is to be surrendered unto God by undertaking acts of worship and other sacred deeds.
