Guest guest Posted November 10, 2008 Report Share Posted November 10, 2008 57 new trains to be introduced soon, says Velu Vellore (PTI): Fifty seven new trains would be introduced in the country in a phased manner soon, according to union minister of state for railways, R Velu. These trains would be introduced on different routes as more coaches were being built now, he said. Distributing apparatus for the physically challenged at a function at a girls higher school here on Sunday, he said the railways had given them concessional passes, provided separate bogies for them with low seating and toilet facilities. These facilities would soon be extended to all trains, he said. Velu said that a 'Garib Rath' would soon be run from Yeshwantpur in Bangalore to Puducherry. The Bangalore Mail, operating on fridays from chennai would be extended to Puttparthi, for the benefit of Sai Baba devotees, he said.
