Jai guru datta Mr Murthy garu,

 

With reference to your below email i would like to give some clarification

from my 15 years association with sri swamiji in India and abroad. Sorry to

bother you with more text here to avoid misconceptions i am writing it here.

 

1. The task of volunteers is any time to inform about various poojas held in

ashram during that period. They are informing to the people because the

crowd is huge and if they do not inform many people who coming at different

timings to have darshan will miss this schedule. To my knowledge no one ever

forced any one to pay even a single rupee from all datta peetham branches

any where in the world. I have completed all datta kshetras in India as well

as i visited UAE when sri swamiji came.

 

2. Most of the volunteers are working in Multinational companies who is

doing seva please kindly note that it is very difficult to do mike

announcements for the people always regarding sevas from the stage. Because

datta peetham never bothered about monitary things you do not find any

publicity or continuous mike annoucements to participate in this pooja that

pooja. The main objective of volunteers is to inform about the various

progarammes happening in datta peetham for information purpose only

 

3. More over you know very well that it is very huge expenses to conduct big

programme where free food is provided during sri swamijis stay, more than

2000 students in Mysore getting free education, all the veda students

pursuing also not charged. Datta seva money is going to be utilised for

social service projects only,

 

4. When we do functions in our homes also it is difficult to satisfy every

one it is not the objective of any one to hurt any one during functions but

when massive crowd of more than 25000 for example during Ugadi celebrations

comes these small confusion happens in any function.

 

5. We never force any one to give any contribution till now. What ever

people contributed up on their will. This is the system since 40 years.

Please kindly read sri swamiji life history before jumping in to

conclusions. Sri swamiji stayed in hut( Chopparam ) for more than 10 years.

Sri swamiji refused to take donations from Jamindars famly also in life

history. if you read the telugu version of sri swamiji life history you

will get clarify for many issues which you have raised.

 

6. Please kindly note that whether you participate in any seva or not it is

up to the individual decision. You can do physical service also like many

people contributing as volunteers it is not only monitary. You can focus on

the homas, musical concerts and speeches given in sri swamijis programmes

also. Many Countries with christianity also recognised sri swamiji and

honoured with many awards during his 100 foriegn tours in abroad. This is

one of rare honours for Indian saint ( Avadootha) in abroad. TTD has

recognised Datta peetham as Dharmic peetham also. Datta peetham is centre

for conducting exams for vedas in all India level. The nada mandapa, datta

venkateswara temple and dharma dwaja constructed by sri swamiji is famous

all over the world.

 

7. More over at the age of more than 68 there is no necessity for sri

swamiji to struggle this much for devotees and make tours if you see sri

swamiji schedule sri swamiji going to small small villages also where there

will not be any dontations or contributions. only the devotion is the

critieria for sri swamiji.

 

I hope i given clarity for the issues you raised. I have given explanation

because i have attended ugadi this year and i am attending since 1997 and

invited many of my friends also to attend.
