Youth

Pilgrimage in June 2008

 

Dear Sai Brothers and Sisters, Sairam!

The All India President recently issued a circular to all State

Presidents to conduct a 5-day youth pilgrimage to Prasanthinilyam in the year 2008.The

A.P.state has to conduct this programme during 25th June to 29 th June.

The District Presidents are requested to mobilize the youth keeping the

following guidelines in view.

 

1. The

programme is for youth only in the falling age group of 18 to 35 years.

2. Each

district can bring 50 male youth and 20 female youth of which 80% have to be

new comers.

3. The

District Presidents and Samithi conveners can cautiously contact the local

colleges and inform the students through the college authorities of the significance

of the trip to Prasanthinilayam. The District Presidents have to select youth

out of those willing to take part on the basis of their spiritual service

orientation, academic excellence and ability to speak fluently.

4. The

youth other than the college students can be mobilized on the basis of their

willingness to take part in service activity, ability to sing bhajanas, play

musical instruments and chant Vedas.

5. The

selected youth in each District should be educated on. (1) The different

aspects of the Divine Mission. (2) The role of the Sri sathya Sai Organisation

in fulfilling the purpose of life and (3) The discipline strictly to be

followed in Prasanthinilayam.

6. Those

Districts, who can bring cultural programmes, enact role plays on human values

etc., can come prepared to perform in state meetings. Prior intimation to state

office is necessary for planning the daily sessions.

7. The

District Presidents are requested to ascertain full details of the selected youth,

their bio data, phone numbers, family background etc., so as to enable us to

act quickly in case of any problem.

8. The

District youth coordinator or a nominated youth should be made in-charge of the

selected male youth group of each district. An experienced elder lady should be

made in charge of female youth group in each district. The leaders have to

guide in all respects so as to make the trip smooth, safe and memorable.

9. Sri

K.Ramana Redy, Hyderabad District sevadal in-charge and Miss C.Sai Aruna Sri, Krishna

District Mahila youth in-charge will be coordinating programmes of youth pilgrimage

at Prasanthinilayam.The District Presidents are requested to pass on the

information regarding the male and female youth groups to the respective

leaders whose addresses are given below.

10. Details

of follow up action after the pilgrimage will be explained in the sessions to

be conducted in Prasanthinilayam
