Finding replacement string restringing mala.....other question of rudraksha

Namaste everyone!

 

Does anyone know where I can locate & purchase some nice cotton/silk red

thread/cord like Rudra Center uses to string their malas & rudraksha

beads?

 

Only available locally to me is nylon,wool & synthetic strings.

I know cotton & silk transmits the subtle energies best,whereas wool

blocks them...and who knows what synthetic fibers do?

 

Also, another question. I was sent a rudraksha bead from somewhere...... it has

seven mukhi on top,and eight on the

bottom...the last line doesn't quite meet the bottom. What type of bead

is this? Iknow the bead is genuine,but the mukhi is very strange.
