Sai Kingdom (UK) Grama Seva Group 2007 11th October 2007. Day of LeavingOn this holy auspicious day of Brahaspati Vaar, dedicated to the Guru (Thursday) and With the Divine Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Heart Valve Bank (HVB) Grama Seva Group embarked upon their journey in earnest from various parts of UK on 11th October 2007. The group consisted of 19 youths from across the U.K. lead by Sri Ait Popat (Puppet) landed safely in the early hours of Friday 12th October 2007.The Group arrived at the Prasanti Nilayam gates at approximately 9.40am. There was a sizeable crowd exiting the Poorna Chandra Hall. The Ashram was full of people from all parts of the world, including Sai Youth from Kerala totalling 5,000. Sai Kingdom (UK) Grama Seva Group 2007 (12th October)Afternoon DarshanThe UK Grama Seva group started the afternoon session at 2pm with 3 AUMs, just before heading towards Sai Kulwant Hall, the abode of supreme peace. Our beloved Swami gave all present in the Hall plenty of opportunity to settle our minds as we anxiously awaited the Divine Darshan. The Bhajans began at exactly 5pm. The melodious singing must have reached the heart of our beloved Baba as he came for darshan at 5.25pm. The UK Grama Sava group were privileged and blessed with a sweet smile and a look or two from our dear Lord. This was a touching moment for the eighteen boys of whom

fourteen had come for the very first time. Swami then proceeded towards the veranda where he spoke to the officials for the Grama Seva activities and to the much delight of the boys, Swami spoke to the leader of the group. Swami conveyed his happiness and blessings to the group. Swami gave further instructions that the Grama Seva activities should commence the following day. Swami gave happiness to all present in the Sai Kulwant hall by listening to bhajans for a full one hour after which he distributed prasadam to all before retiring. Sai Kingdom (UK) Grama Seva Group 2007 (13th October) The Grama Seva group commenced the second day with an early morning prayer in the form of Suprabhatham. The thought of the day, read by the group leader, conveyed a very powerful message, which helped focus the group for the purpose for which they had come.Swami did not come for morning darshan, however our beloved Baba sent kind instructions for the Grama Seva to commence before 09.00am. With the chanting of the Vedam the procession started lead by Swami's students themselves, including the UK Grama Seva boys. The boys performed a Pradikshna around the Mandir whilst chanting the vedam.The vehicles for the Grama Seva rolled out of the Prashanthi Gates just prior to 09.00 with the chanting of "Jai Bolo Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Ji Ki – Jai". It was wonderful to witness this scene as truck after truck left

The UK grama seva group were extremely privileged to offer service in the form of food and clothing to a local village known as Enumulapalli.The villagers greeted the groups with the singing of divine hymns with young children offering festive lights. Immediately the vedam was commenced by the students closely followed by bhajan singing in the form of Nagar Sankeerthan ending in Atari at the village temple. During the distribution of our beloved Swami's prasadam all the boys were received with love and humility, which was reciprocated by all.The first day of seva concluded at 12.30 for the UK group. Group 2007 (13th October) Afternoon DarshanThe UK group gathered with high spirits after a challenging and fulfilling morning. Bhajans commenced at 5.00 pm promptly, just prior to Swami's arrival. Our beloved Swami was in a wonderful mood whilst giving darshan from his car during which He took letters from a number of devotees. Swami spoke the UK group leader enquiring about the group and their activities on the first day. Swami was especially interested in the location of the village and wellbeing of the group. Swami further asked about the planned activities for the following day.Swami returned from the interview room within a few minutes to give another chance for darshan to one and all, however to the delight of the gathered audience, Swami performed a complete round of Sai Kulwant hall from his chair. This took place whilst enchanting bhajans were continuing in

the background. Swami left for His residence after taking Aarti at approximately 6.00 pm. Sai Kingdom (UK) Grama Seva Group 2007 (14th October) Morning DarshanPrashanthi Nilayam, the Abode of Supreme Peace, was awoken with the chanting of 21 Omkaras, followed by the Suprabhatam in the early hours of the morning.Swami did not come for Darshan this morning, however Swami sent instructions from the Divine residence for the Grama Seva activities to begin.The group was focused in sharing Swami's love amongst the people in the villages. Once again there were a number of Villages, which received the divine love in the form of Prasad. The UK Grama Seva group visited Pedapilli, which is about 22Km from Prashanthi Nilayam.As the group arrived at the village there were prayers sung by the Muslim inhabitants, who were celebrating the Holy Ed Festival. The Grama Seva boys also started the Vedam singing. There was a great sense of unity amongst the different people. We were witnessing Swami's love amongst different people throughout the villages. Our heartfelt prayers go to our beloved Lord, Sri Sathya Sai Baba.The UK Group finished the Seva activity at 11:30. Our sisters, from the Anantapur Campus, prepared the Prasadam consisting of Pulihora Rice and Ladoo. All the UK Grama Seva boys sat together and part took Swami's Prasadam in one room.
